Phoenix Children’s Festival Returns for Second Year to Downtown Phoenix

Popular Creative Writing Contest seeks 1,000 entries from K-8 students

More excitement and interactive entertainment is on its way back to Phoenix as the second annual Phoenix Children’s Festival takes place Saturday, March 24, 2018, at CityScape in Downtown Phoenix. Returning as presenting sponsors are the CW 6-TV network, home to hit shows Arrow, Flash and Super Girl, each of whom will make appearances. Featured celebrities and entertainment will be announced.

We look forward to creating equally energetic entertainment attractions sure to draw families and children to the downtown street festival.” The inaugural festival featured the energetic and popular Phoenix Suns star Alan “Big Sauce” Williams and main stage entertainment by Peyton List, Disney Channel star of Jesse and Bunk’d.

The Phoenix Children’s Festival will be a fun filled day of entertainment for children and families and deliver information on the health, welfare and education of our children. The event features five age-specific zones of interactive discovery, entertainment and leaning in a family-friendly environment. Celebrity personalities and talent will entertain the more than 3,000 – 5,000 individual expected to attend this year’s event.

The “What is Fun” Creative Writing Contest encourages a new generation of authors and fosters a love for reading. Deadline for entries is January 31, 2018, 5 pm.  Winners will be announced at the festival. More than 1,000 entries are expected for this year’s contest, eclipsing the 600 received last year. Students in grades K-8 may submit entries with winners announced in each grade level. Manzanita Elementary School took home top honors last year.

Sponsorship levels ranging from $25,000 Title Sponsor – one available; $20,000 Presenting Sponsorship – one available and comes with an exclusive activation in you company’s name; $15,000 Zone Sponsor – five available – example a sports zone, discovery zone, adventure zone, reading garden/zone all branded in your company’s name. More than 2,500 people from across the Valley attended the one day street festival of which 75 percent were ages 45 and younger, highly educated with bachelor degrees and above, and an average income of $35,000 – $100,000. Over 69 percent of attendees were female and 31 percent male.

The mission of the Phoenix Children’s Festival is to provide a family friendly event filled with fun and entertainment while providing parents with vital information regarding the health, welfare and education of their children. Celebrating its 50th year anniversary in 2017, Back-to-School Clothing Drive is an Arizona 501(c) 3 nonprofit helps break down barriers to early childhood school success.
